Through expanding programs, in 2019, we launched RingCycles™, the smart, responsible multi-packaging solution made from post-consumer recycled content (+55% recycled content today with a goal of achieving 100% post-consumer recycled content in 2024). As a leader in providing environmentally responsible multi-packaging solutions, we invest in improving education and increasing recycling rates by ensuring recyclability through public systems and supporting alternative programs. We are committed to the fundamental shift towards the circular economy.
We’re partnering with Walmart Mexico & CENTROAMÉRICA to Increase Collection Rates in Mexico
In partnership with Walmart Mexico, Hi-Cone provides a free and easy recycling program for Mexican consumers to reduce waste through Walmart’s initiative called “Reciclamanía Evoluciona”.
Consumers can deposit their ring carriers and other flexible films at local collection points in Recycling Banks at more than thirty Walmart locations throughout Mexico, including Bodega Aurrera, Sam’s Club, Walmart Express y Walmart Supercenter participantes en Ciudad de México, Estado de México, Michoacán, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
OUR RECYCLING PARTNERSHIP WITH BASEBALL STADIUMS
Hi-Cone has formed a winning relationship with different baseball stadiums in Chicago. Every home game proves to be an opportunity to advance our mission of achieving a more sustainable future. Beverage vendors remove ring carriers from drink cans prior to traversing the stadium steps to serve refreshments to the fans and place them in pre-marked boxes for shipment to recycling facilities.
Our goal is to close the loop on ring carriers by collecting them and making them into new ring carriers that can be used over and over again.
